Brimming with excitement, Emma Watson confirmed her "Beauty and the Beast" casting through her official Facebook account recently.

"I'm finally able to tell you... that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action 'Beauty and the Beast!'" the British beauty who is best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" franchise, gushed on the social network site.

She also expressed her excitement over being able to finally sing the classic film's iconic songs.

Although her singing ability hasn't been made public, the 24-year-old actress is eager to work on the upcoming movie remake's songs.

"It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There,'" she continued. "My six year old self is on the ceiling - heart bursting."

In preparation for the role, the UN Ambassador for Women shared her plan to "start some singing lessons."

"Beauty And The Beast" won't be her only upcoming film to showcase her singing chops. She will reportedly be starring opposite "Whiplash" star Miles Teller in the Damien Chazelle-helmed musical "La La Land."

"I can't wait for you to see it," she concluded her post.

Fans have been excited to see the "Noah" star as "Belle" since 2011, The Guardian reported. The hype only heightened when Emma Watson's "Beauty And The Beast" casting was confirmed by the actress herself.

There has been collective approval for her role from fans and several news outlets.

According to E! News, Watson is smart, knows how to fight, and basically has the skills to handle someone like the Beast. Watson as Belle is basically a "dream casting," the publication reported.

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon will be helming the film while Watson's "Perks Of Being A Wallflower" director Stephen Chbosky will be in charge of the script.

"Beauty And The Beast" is just one of Disney's classic cartoon remake projects. "Maleficent," which was based off of "Sleeping Beauty," was released last year. The Kenneth Branagh-directed "Cinderella" will be hitting cinemas in March, while "Jungle Book" will be turned into a live-action film soon.
