‘The Originals’ Season 2 Reaches Season High Rating! Will Marcel Find Love Again? Will Rebekah Finally Meet Freya In ‘Sanctuary?’
After surviving a deadly werewolf bite and crippling hunger in "The Originals" season 2 episode last Monday, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) looks like he's ready to find love once again.
When his coven was trapped in the Mikaelson home by an enraged Finn, Marcel was able to become the leader that his new group needed during that crisis.
Gia (Nishi Munshi), in particular, made the 300-year-old vampire proud. Her strong character and refusal to just accept orders endeared her to Marcel. Will something more than a leader-follower bond bloom between the two vampires?
Marcel's lovelife isn't the only thing that's looking up for "The Originals" season 2.
According to Zap2It, the CW supernatural series experienced a season high rating last Monday. It looks like putting Marcel in grave danger as well as bunching all the Mikaelson brothers up in one (albeit mind-created) room to hash out their problems with each other appealed to the TV viewing public.
The network's Golden Globe nominated dramedy, "Jane The Virgin," also performed well this week.
Will this rise in viewership continue to next episode?
In The CW's synopsis for episode 12, "Sanctuary," Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sells) will be "intrigued by a mysterious girl who has recently arrived to the insane asylum." Past episodes already showed the newly-humanized Original discovering a woman in a coffin.
Is this girl her long-lost sister, Freya, who was taken by their mother's sister Dahlia a thousand years ago?
Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Jackson (Nathan Parsons) need to undergo a cleansing ritual before they can be united in marriage. She hesitates to go through with it, in fear that she might divulge her daughter's existence and thereby endagering her life.
According to International Business Times, Jackson's "own secret involving Hayley's parents" might just make her change her mind.
Which one will Hayley put first? Her love for her daughter Hope or her duty as a Crescent Wolf?
