IU and Jo Jung Suk are Confirmed to Act As The Main Couple in “Lee Soon Sin is the Best”

Singer IU and actor JO Jung Suk has been officially confirmed to lead KBS drama “Lee Soon Sin is the Best.”

On January 25th, KBS revealed that the pair will act together, confirming earlier rumors.

IU will play the role of Lee Soon Shin, a girl regarded as a “loser” who has no good luck, yet she is cheerful and positive.

On getting her first lead role IU expressed, “I was drawn to the Lee Soon Shin's character, as well as the story of the drama. At first, when I got the offer, I was really concerned and wondered of I could play such an important role; but my desired to play the character was big, so I decided to go ahead and do it.”

Meanwhile, Jo Jung Suk will play the role of Shin Joon Ho, the cold-hearted and competitive director of an agency.

On casting in the main role the actor said, “I am honored to be starring in my first lead role, let alone in a weekend drama on KBS. I am really excited to work with the cast, the director and the writers.

A few days before, Yoo In Na was also confirmed to appear in the drama, as IU's character aunt.

The drama is set to bring hope to those who are discouraged.

“Lee Soon Sin is the Best” is about a Lee Soon Sin who travels to Seoul, and becomes a big star, with the help of a business man.

The drama will air after “My Daughter Lee Seo Young” ends.
