2AM's Im Seulong Discusses His 'Fool's Love' Loveline With Choi Woo Sik

The last episode of the tvN comedy "Fool's Love' left viewers wondering. And that may be why 2AM's Im Seulong felt the need to explain.

If you haven't seen it, you may want to skip this article, because there are plenty of spoilers.

Just before the very end of the February 17 episode, titled "Let's Spend Christmas With Family," it seemed as if viewers could expect a slightly different love triangle. Uee's character, champion swimmer Do Do Hee, delivered a baby. But Byun Kang Chul, her baby's father was not on the scene. That's the character that Im Seulong plays. The pretentious cold-hearted Byun Kang Chul told her he does not want to be a dad.

Do Hee has the baby anyway with the support of Choi Woo Sik's character Kang Ho Gu, who has loved her for years. So far, we are in normal k-drama love triangle territory. Ho Gu loves her and she loves someone else, who in this case is her baby's father.

At first it seems as if Byun Kang Chul is just indifferent to women in general. He treats his blind dates with some disdain. But then at the end of the episode he starts thinking about the person he does love. And it's Choi Woo Sik? Wait, what?

To help clear up some of the confusion that viewers might be feeling, Im Seulong spoke to enewsworld reporters on the Ilsan fim set of the drama.

It turns out that his character is not in love with Kang Ho Gu but rather Kang Ho Gu's twin sister Kang Ho Kyung? Wait, what?

But isn't his twin sister Kang Ho Kyung played by Lee Soo Kyung? Kang Chul and Ho Kyung already met and while he was intrigued, no sparks flew. And didn't he just get punched in the nose by Ho Gu?

Apparently Im Seulong was not quite sure about the way the story would develop either as he thought he might have to act out a loveline with Choi.

 "I had many worries about acting our homosexual love, but I came to the conclusion that it's best not to worry about it," said Im Seulong. "I've been trying my best as I approach the character."

He said he was getting used to the idea.

"I've been feeling more comfortable as the story unfolds," he said. "I ask that you anticipate my romancer with Ho Gu."

And viewers will anticipate unraveling the love mystery at the heart of this drama. Is it Ho Gu or his sister? Or did Ho Gu dress up as a girl when they all went to high school together? Stay tuned.
