Good news gaming fans as NetherRealm Studios "Mortal Kombat X's" new characters and gameplay features have been revealed plus hints on its new DLC that may come very soon.

Gamerant has reported that NetherRealm Studios began streaming a new trailer for "Mortal Kombat X" that features the gameplay of returning Mortal Kombat characters Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.

As seen on the trailer, both Sonya and Johnny have aged quite a lot and it was hinted that the two are no longer married since Johnny called Sonya his "ex-wife." The trailer also shows other returning Mortal Kombat characters such the blind swordman Kenshi and the fallen elder god Shinnok.

"Mortal Kombat X" senior Adam Urbano previously hinted that both Kenshi and Johnny Cage will join the game, VG24/7 reports.

So far the list of returning Mortal Kombat characters includes; Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kano, Kung Lao, Mileena, Reptile, Quan Chi, Kitanna, Ermac, and Goro.

"Mortal Kombat X" also introduces new characters such as D'Vorah, Cassie Cage, Ferra/Torr, Kotal Kahn, Jacqueline Briggs, Takahashi Takeda and Kung Jin.

Aside from new characters, VG24/7 also reports a new gameplay trailer of "Mortal Kombat X" for the Android software.

The website explained that the Android version blends both fighting and card collection with cinematic gameplay and fatalities as gamers who own the PC or console version can unlock several contents in the mobile game, and vice versa.

Lasly, Urbano hinted new DLC characters in the feature during an interview with PlayStationLifeStyle.net.

"I hope so. I think our strategy is pretty well known at this point. The production team likes to find ways to make it so they can work until the last possible second to sneak on more and more content," Urbano told PlayStationLifeStyle. "So, at that point when we are done, we are close, about a month or so, then we start to look at all the fun stuff we couldn’t get to because we love these games and would work on the forever if we could. Well, we do, it’s just over the years."

"Mortal Kombat X" will launch on April 14 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and for the PC.
