'Mortal Kombat X' Update: Jason Voorhees Confirmed In The Game As Release Date For The PS3 And Xbox 360 Versions Delayed! Will Rain, Cyrax, Liu Kang, And Spawn Join 'MKX'?

New updates and game details for NetherRealm Studios latest Mortal Kombat game, "Mortal Kombat X" have been revealed regarding its new characters and release dates.

According to VG 24/7, the release date of "Mortal Kombat X" for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles were delayed after retailing website Amazo.com has set "MKX" on June 2015 for the third generation consoles.

Video Gamer further adds that Warner Bros. made a statement regarding the sudden change in "Mortal Kombat X's" release for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

"Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X being developed by High Voltage Software will release this summer," Warner Bros said to Video Gamer. "The Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC versions will be available April 14."

Adding more evidence to the claim, Video Gamer also posted a screenshot of the game's recent trailer that shows "Mortal Kombat X" will only be available in April 14, 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS and for Android only.

Aside from the release date changers, NettherRealm also revealed the guest character for "Mortal Kombat X" as "Friday the 13th" slasher Jason Voorhees has officially made it to the roster.

Warner Bros. further announced that Jason will be part of the "Kombat Pack" season pass will cost around £24.99 ($36.95), and it comes with the Premium Edition of the game. The pass will also give players access to four additional characters in the game as VG 24/ adds that three are "Klassic" MK characters, while the other is another guest fighter.

IGN reportedly claimed that Cyrax and Rain will be joining the game due to the "Living Tower" mode.

Liu Kang is also heavily rumored to join the roster according to Attack of The Fanboy, while Gamefitnation that Spawn will likely be included in the game.

The Predator and Colonel Al Dillon have been rumored to be part of another series of DLC as VideoGamer claim that both characters are part of the "Predator pack" in June.

The list of "Mortal Kombat X characters includes; Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kano, Kung Lao, Mileena, Reptile, Quan Chi, Kitanna, Ermac, Goro, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, D'Vorah, Cassie Cage, Ferra/Torr, Kotal Kahn, Jacqueline Briggs, Takahashi Takeda and Kung Jin.
