Robin Thicke, Paula Patton Divorce Finalized; Couple Settle Differences Over Child Custody, Property Issues

The divorce of "Blurred Lines" Robin Thicke and Paula Patton has been finalized.

In a report from TMZ, the "2 Guns" actress filed legal documents on Tuesday claiming that she and husband Robin Thicke have reached an agreement on the division of property and custody of Julian, 4.

"The terms of the settlement are private. There's an indication from the legal docs Paula is getting primary custody, but it's not spelled out specifically. They've also agreed on the terms of spousal and child support," the report said.

However, according to the law, the divorce of Robin Thicke and Paula Patton won't become final until April 14, which is a good six months away after the actress filed the documents.

According to E! News, 38-year-old the singer an the 39-year-old actress split in February last year after nine months of being together.

Eight months later, Paula Patton filed for divorce from Robin Thicke.

"We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," said the statement by the couple sent to media outlets.

"I'm doing really well. I mean, the honest truth is it has been challenging, but it's been a year of growth, lots of healing, learning about all new things, but I've come out of it stronger," she said.

"My son's happy and I'm very-you know, I feel like everything happens for a reason. And then you have to move on and grow from there," the actress added.

The Paula Patton and Robin Thicke divorce news came on the heels of the judge's order for the singer, as well as "Happy" singer Pharell Williams, to pay the estate of Marvin Gaye $7.3 million for reportedly copying "Got to Give It Up " to make "Blurred Lines."

The singers plan to appeal the judgment.
