'Attack On Titan' Live Action Movie Teaser Streamed Online As Scenes From The Film Shows The Coming Of The Titans! [VIDEO]
Anime fans rejoice as the first teaser of the "Attack on Titans" live action movie has been revealed as the video features humanity's fight against the Titans.
According to AnimeNewsNetwork, the "Attack on Titan" teaser was first shown in the Japanese news program "ZIP" the video will feature several scenes from the upcoming anime live action film.
As seen in the teaser, humans are under attack by gigantic carnivorous beings called Titans as they struggle to protect themselves from being eaten by them. Staying true to the anime, humanity has built in three walls to protect them from the Titans. There names are "Wall Maria", "Wall Rose" and "Wall Sheena".
The story of Attack on Titans centers on Eren Jaeger who fights the Titans after witnessing the death of his mother during a Titan attack within the city. Seeking revenge and vowing to exterminate every Titan in the world, he enlist in the military along with his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and his friend Armin Arlert.
Unbeknownst to Eren, there is a power inside of him that enables him to transform into a Titan due to his father's experiments, Eren sets out to know the truth of his transformation, and lead humanity back to victory over the Titans that rule the world.
AnimeNewsNetwork reports that director Shinji Higuchi will have the "Attack on Titan" movie be split into two parts as Higuchi adds that the anime's creator Hajime Isayama will supervise the movie based on the story from the original anime manga, while incorporating new characters and enemies.
Yuusuke Watanabe (Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods) will writing the script alongside Japanese film critic Tomohiro Machiyama. The film stars Haruma Miura as Eren Jaeger, Kiko Mizuhara as Mikasa Ackerman, and Kanata Hongo as Armin Arlert, Satomi Ishihara as Hans/Hanji, Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha Blouse and Takahiro Miura as Jean Kirstein.
Crunchyroll reports that The live-action "Attack on Titan" film have been in development since 2011 but the production had several problems in 2012, when the original director, Tetsuya Nakashima, left the project as Higuchi step up for the role.
The "Attack on Titan" live action films are scheduled to hit Japanese theaters in Summer 2015.
