'The Bold And The Beautiful' Spoilers: Maya's Parents Joins Cast; Meets Her For The First Time After Transgender Transition

“The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers revealed that new cast members will be joining the CBS daytime series. Maya’s parents were reportedly making their debut this July.

According to "The Bold and the Beautiful" spoilers from Celeb Dirty Laundry, Maya's parents will be joining the cast of the series. It was said that they will be coming to Los Angeles to search for their younger daughter Nicole.

This will also be the first time that they will meet Maya after she has transitioned from Myron. Anna Maria Horsford play Maya's mother Vivienne Avant, and Obba Babatunde will be his dad, Julius Avant.

The website reported that both actors are soap opera veterans. Anna Maria Horsford starred in "The Wayans Bros" and "Guiding Light" while Obba Babatunde was in "One Life To Live," "The Young and the Restless" and "All My Children."

Maya's parents will be making their debut in the July episode of "B&B." Horsford on July 3, while Babatunde on July 9.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" spoilers revealed that the arrival of Maya's parents will play a pivotal role in the soap. Previously, Nicole, Maya's sister, shared that their parents have not really been supportive of her transition. It was said that a heated argument could take place that fans should not dare miss.

Speaking to TV Insider's Michael Logan, Anna Maria Horsford shared that being cast as Maya's mother made her better understand the LGBT community.

"This reunion of the Avant family has opened my heart on so many levels," she said.

"I personally know several transgender people but I never really thought of things from the parents' perspective. The audience has heard Maya's point of view about what went on in the family. Now it's time to get Mom and Dad's side of things! Maya may think her parents never loved her, but that's her perception."
