'Outlander' Season 2 Spoilers: Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe Returns; Diana Gabaldon Teases 'Voyager' Adaptation

"Outlander" season 2 spoilers revealed that the cast and crew including Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have already started filming the upcoming episodes.

According to "Outlander" season 2 spoilers from IB Times, a photo has been leaked online of Caitriona Balfe wearing a long brown dress. It has been said that both Balfe and Sam Heughan will be reprising their roles in the Starz series. The website reported that although the story was set in France, the series is actually being filmed in Scotland, the south of England and in Prague. The next episodes was said to cover Diana Gabaldon's second book "Dragonfly in Amber."

Speaking to Vulture, author Diana Gabaldon teased what fans can expect in the TV series adaptation. Gabaldon also slammed rumors that the second book will be split into two seasons.

"They will handle the whole book in one season. Don't worry. They did a good job with it. I have seen the outlines for all of the episodes and several of the scripts, so I know how [they are structuring it], but it is way too detailed and complicated to try to tell you," she said.

Diana Gabaldon was also asked on whether book 3 of the "Outlander" series, "Voyager" will be adapted into the third season. Unfortunately, Gabaldon said that she has yet to discuss it with the network

"I can't say anything definite. From the conversations I have had from the people who work on it, I get the distinct feeling that they expect there to be a third season. They don't know that yet, either, but you can't help thinking ahead," she said.

"Given that they have broken the show for 'Dragonfly' all the way through, you have to design the end with the expectation that there will be another beginning so of course they are thinking about it and planning for it. I hope it does. That's up to you guys. If people go on watching it. Starz is happy to go on making it."
