'Mindy Project' Season 4 Spoilers: Mindy Kaling Teases More Raunchy Scenes Between Mindy And Danny Now That There's Less Restriction On Hulu

"Mindy Project" season 4 spoilers revealed that the upcoming episodes will feature more raunchy scenes between Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) and her baby daddy Danny Castellano (Chris Messina).

"The Mindy Project" might have been cancelled by Fox after three seasons due to its less than stellar ratings but the series have been picked up for a fourth season by Hulu. As Business Insider reported series shown online don't have to follow the same censorship that major networks comply with. This could mean that there will be steamier episodes between Mindy and Danny in the future.

During the recent BookCon, with BJ Novak, Kaling shared that being in an online platform, such as Hulu, definitely has several advantages, compared to over-the-air network.

"Can we just be all sex and drugs? Matt [Warburton] and I are both smart writers, but also repressed people. We decided we want people who tuned into the show to tune in for two reasons: because we're doing things we couldn't do on network TV, but also not giving up what people love," she said.

"And so much of romance comes from restraint, and the things you don't see. ... I always have to remind myself that a little goes a long way."

Kaling further proved her point about constraint citing one of the episodes in "The Office" titled "Diversity Day."

"There's a moment where Jim is basically having the worst moment of his whole career and Pam falls asleep on his shoulder," she recalled.

"And you can see just from his expression how romantic and how amazing it was. And that was a woman falling asleep on a grown man's shoulder. So to me, I remember that so much more than like any sexy sex scene you could see on any TV show."

Mindy Kaling, however, assured fans that they will be seeing a lot of Mindy and Danny in the next episodes.

"I think we are gonna push the envelope in ways we haven't been able to, which is great," she added.
