Unlike major entries in the Tales series that typically featured male and female leads, Bandai Namco announced "Tales of Berseria" for PS3 and PS4 featuring one hero and she is star of the Berseria show.

Citing the new ratings for the games, it looks like Bandai Namco plans to bring "Tales of Zestiria" and "One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3" to Xbox 360.

According to records on Niche Gamer, the Brazilian Advisory Rating System rated both, "Tales of Zestiria" and "One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3" for Xbox 360. Zestiria will be the first game in the series to land on Xbox 360 since 2008.

Although "Tales of Zestiria" has been available in Japan for PlayStation 3 since Jan., 2015, it's still on track for a Western release sometime this fall.

This is not an official announcement; however "Tales of Zestiria" has been listed for PS4 and PC via Steam, hinting that the publisher might be at least considering this sort of release.

Continuing from the recently released PS3 exclusive "Tales of Zestiria," it looks like Bandai Namco is determined to update the Tales series and bring it onto next-gen hardware.

The publishers have announced "Tales of Berseria" for PS4 and PS3, Forbes noted.

Moreover, the game will feature a female protagonist called Velvet. Voiced by the fan-favorite Rina Satou, Velvet appears to be a pirate. The character design will be penned by Mutsumi Inomata so that should at least patch things up with most Tales fans, particularly because she has also defined the visual style of these games since "Tales of Destiny."

The Tales games have mostly fit the mid-range of game budgets; however "Tales of Berseria" might be at the upper end of that.

Bandai Namco has also revealed a Tales series art exhibit. The exhibit will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise and will be held at Akihabara UDX building in Tokyo from Aug. 7 to Aug. 23.

The Japanese role-playing games are still alive and well too, but some fans speculate abrupt shift from the usual male/female structure to a lone female hero is due to the Tales of Zestiria chaos from earlier this year, when fans became unhappy as a result of a major female character being swapped out with another in mid-game, Kotaku noted.

Although the game is not yet associated with a release date, it's nice to see Bandai Namco beginning to produce more games for consoles such as PS4.
