The SBS drama "That Winter The Wind Blows" broadcasted its final episode last week. This drama was praised for its popular appeal as well as its literary value and its cinematic quality. "That Winter The Wind Blows" will remain in the memories of the viewers as well as the actors for a very long time. The main female actress Song Hye Kyo, who played the role of Oh Young came to be more respected as a talented actress after appearing in this drama.

One very entertaining fact is that Song Hye Kyo's rivals Kim Tae Hee and Jeon Ji Hyun are all actively pursuing new routes in their careers and drawing attention at the same time. People are referring this year as "Tae-Hye-Ji" era.

Kim Tae Hee, Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Ji Hyun all rose to fame around a similar time and became very competitive as rivals. It is impossible to decide on a winner based simply on beauty. These actresses appeared on countless television advertisements at the beginning of year 2000 and continued to draw attention for several years.

However, as more time passed, "Tae-Hye-Ji" ear seemed to become very shaky as all three actresses received harsh criticisms on their roles while some of their projects turned out to be disappointing.

Since their pride was hurt, each of the three actresses needed to discover a way to make their comeback.

One thing to take into consideration is that all three of them began to concentrate on their duties as actresses. Instead of trying to hold onto their endorsement deals, they began to focus on their acting careers in order to make progress. Even though there were some trial-and-error moments, this was the wise route to take for all three. In order to remain as a beloved celebrity in the industry, they all had to prove themselves as actresses.

"Tae-Hye-Ji"'s efforts must have paid off. Starting in 2012, the "Tae-Hye-Ji" era began to rise again.

Jeon Ji Hyun for example, reappeared on the surface with her sexy and fresh role in the movie "Thieves." Jeon Ji Hyun completely recovered from her long slump with her role as the character Anycall. Also, the news about her wedding changed her mysterious image into a more friendly and approachable celebrity. Currently, Jeon Ji Hyun is starting to appear in various advertisements once again.

Song Hye Kyo, who was also on the search of something that would highlight her talent finally landed on "That Winter The Wind Blows" and completely recovered from her slump. Just as before, Song Hye Kyo is now the center of attention for her beauty and sense of fashion, not to mention her unbelievable talent as an actress. Even the writer of the drama "That Winter The Wind Blows", Noh Hui Kyung praised Song Hye Kyo for her acting.

Kim Tae Hee has also been on the hunt for a new challenge that will open new doors for her. After being praised for her acting in the MBC drama "My Princess" in 2011, Kim Tae Hee chose to appear in the SBS new drama "Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love". It is her first attempt at a role in a historical drama. We will have to continue to watch to find out whether Kim Tae Hee will be able to pull this off or not. The pressure is on since the drama that ended before "Jang Ok Jung" was "Yawang" which received over 25% viewing rate.

All in their 30s, "Tae-Hye-Ji" are beginning to approach their fans in a new way as actresses in order to arrive at the best situation possible. Although all of them faced various failures and disappointments, their continuous efforts to achieve their goals brought them back into the spotlight. They are no longer just beautiful celebrities who appear on TV advertisements, but have transformed into respected actresses who have come a long way since their debut.

Will "Tae-Hye-Ji" continue this path until the end of their acting careers? Will they be able to mature with their viewers and fans? One thing for sure is that "Tae-Hye-Ji" is a very valuable combination in the entertainment industry.
