'RHOC' Star Meghan King Edmonds Defends New Pink Hair Following Husband's First Wife LeAnn's Death

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Meghan King Edmonds colored her hair pink just days after her husband Jim lost his first wife LeAnn to colon cancer. The reality star claimed that her vibrant new hair color was only a symbol that she is embracing life to the fullest.

"We are embracing the life that we have because life is beautiful and you never know when it's going to end," Edmonds told People.

Edmonds, however, admitted that she has received several unfriendly glances thrown her way. She said that people thought it was insensitive of her to be displaying such a bold hair color following the death of a friend.

"[They say] that I'm an attention seeker or that I look terrible or why didn't I do blue for colon cancer," she recalled of people's reactions during the funeral service.

Edmonds claimed that if LeAnn were able to see her new do, she will definitely love it. She added that Leann herself had a lot of different colorful wigs during her chemotherapy.

"But if LeAnn was here, her eyes would be as big as saucers. She would be like 'I can't believe you did it,' but she would love it," she told People.

"During her chemotherapy she had all these different wigs and she got a red one and a blonde one, different lengths and she would have her hair stylist give them highlights."

"She had fun with it and just loved hair and always had her nails perfect so she would have been like, 'You are crazy but I love you and I think it's awesome that you did it.' "

The Bravo reality star also shared that she's planning to hold a memorial party for her late friend.

"I've been in constant communication with LeAnn's mom and she asked me to help plan a memorial party for her, which is really touching for me."
