"Gu Family Book" Even though the main couple in the drama is Lee Seung Gi and Bae Suzy, the Lee Seung Gi and Lee Yoo Bi couple looks adorable as well.

The main couple in the MBC drama "Gu Family Book" is the Choi Kang Chi (Lee Seung Gi) and Bae Suzy (Dam Yeo Wool) couple. Their love story had been set up from their childhood when Choi Kang Chi saves Dam Yeo Wool from a wild dog in a mountain. Even though it is in their fate to become lovers, they are to face a tragic ending to their love story. This may be the reason why, but their chemistry doesn't seem to be giving viewers the butterflies even when it should be the most exciting time before a couple's love story officially begins.

This appears to be a problem when the Choi Kang Chi and Park Chung Jo (Lee Yoo Bi) couple gives people the butterflies even when they are not even the main couple. Choi Kang Chi is just a child who has been taken in after somebody had deserted him shortly after his birth. It was unacceptable for the Park household to accept Choi Kang Chi as Park Chung Jo's lover because of the difference in their social class. Regardless of Park Chung Jo's hostile mother who hates him, Choi Kang Chi holds Park Chung Jo in his arms and tells her, "Don't worry, I'm going to protect you."

The two women who are in love with Choi Kang Chi somehow make him look good. The female characters play a crucial role since viewers tend to look at the main male character through their eyes. Whether it is a historical drama or not, the reason the male character shines like the North Star is because of his chemistry with the female characters in the drama.

For example, Choi Kang Chi steals our hearts away when he shows his love and dedication for Park Chung Jo. Even though he treats Dam Yeo Wool as if she were a boy and acts very tough around her, he becomes unbelievably soft and innocent when he stands in front of Park Chung Jo because he suddenly seems like a man who is willing to do anything for his one and only true love.

Of course, the setting of the drama has an influence on the fact that the main couple is not getting as much attention as it should be getting compared to the "sub-couple". Which factors could be contributing to this? Could it be that Bae Suzy's acting is not meeting the standards and expectations of viewers? Or is it simply because viewers truly believe that Lee Seung Gi and Lee Yoo Bi seem like a better match?

Actress Lee Yoo Bi seems to have improved dramatically in terms of her acting compared to her role in the drama "Nice Guy". From short emotional lines to long ones with difficult pronunciations, Lee Yoo Bi seems to have perfected everything for her portrayal of her character Park Chung Jo in "Gu Family Book".

When Park Chung Jo's father Park Moo Sol (Uhm Hyo Sup) is framed for conspiracy by Jo Kwan Woong (Lee Sung Jae), there is a scene where her older brother is being tortured. Even when she hears her older brother in pain, Park Chung Jo hears her brother say, "Don't cry. Don't you dare become weak. You have to endure. You have to overcome." Even though all the others are crying on the ground, Park Chung Jo remains strong and proud, trying to appear as though she will not let the enemy bring her family down. When tears begin falling down her cheeks, her heart calls out for Choi Kang Chi. She says, "Kang Chi, where are you. Kang Chi." Even through all the torture, she finds strength by keeping Choi Kang Chi in mind.

Unable to accept the directions that have been given to him by the monk, he returns to the Park household. Lee Yoo Bi's convincing act brought a constant flow of tears to the viewers. Even in this situation, Park Chung Jo orders Choi Kang Chi to save her older brother first. Even though Choi Kang Chi does not know what to do, he eventually follows her orders.

Choi Kang Chi tells her, "No matter what happens, I'm coming back for you" to which Park Chung Jo replies with a nod. When he turns away however, she breaks down and grabs onto him. Even though she tries to be strong, how can a young girl remain unaffected by all the painful events affecting her family? Without even being sure about whether they will meet again, Park Chung Jo is unable to let him go without a proper goodbye. Her hand is shaking when she grabs him.

Choi Kang Chi gives her a kiss on her forehead to comfort her. It is truly a beautiful scene that will bring tears to anybody who watches it.

What will become of Choi Kang Chi's love line with Park Chung Jo? And what will happen to his fate with Dam Yeo Wool?
