"Gu Family Book" Chemistry Between Lee Seung Gi and Bae Suzy "Healing"

The MBC drama "Gu Family Book" can be viewed as a updated version of "Beauty and the Beast". In the previous episode of this drama that aired on May 14 featured Dam Yeo Wool (Bae Suzy) being the only one with the ability to tame Choi Kang Chi's (Lee Seung Gi) beastly nature. Dam Yeo Wool's innocent love appears to have the power to heal Choi Kang Chi.
In the episode, Park Tae Seo (Yoo Yeon Suk) breaks Choi Kang Chi's bracelet which makes him turn into a beast. Park Tae Seo and Park Chung Jo discover for the first time that Choi Kang Chi is not human. Park Chung Jo calls him a beast and tells him to go away. Even though Choi Kang Chi tries to explain everything, Park Chung Jo says, "You are not Choi Kang Chi. Kang Chi cannot be a monster like you" and runs away from him.
Later on, Choi Kang Chi goes to see Dam Yeo Wool after learning that she took his bracelet. People try to stop him from entering but he is too powerful for any number of human beings. Dam Pyung Joon (Jo Sung Ha) resorts to threatening Choi Kang Chi's life himself. Right then, Dam Yeo Wool gets in the way to stop her father.
Dam Yeo Wool says, "Father, you are the one who said, 'there are no bad people in the world, there are only bad situations'. Kang Chi is just in the middle of a bad situation. Kang Chi didn't do anything wrong. It is not Kang Chi's fault." Choi Kang Chi is touched by Dam Yeo Wool's unexpected kindness.
When Dam Pyung Joon does not back off, Dam Yeo Wool says, "I'm not going to step away no matter what" and protects Choi Kang Chi. She then grabs his hand. Suddenly as if her love had special powers, Choi Kang Chi turns back into a human being. Her love had affected him.
Choi Kang Chi had been betrayed by a friend whom he had trusted with his life then deserted by the love of his life. He was feeling worthless and hopeless when Dam Yeo Wool appeared at his side to protect him when he was at his worst. Dam Yeo Wool's love for him began to heal his pains.
Later, Choi Kang Chi is able to get through to Park Tae Seo, who had been under a spell by showing him the same sincerity that Dam Yeo Wool showed him.
It appears as though the story will become very interesting after the re-appearance of Goo Wol Ryung (Choi Jin Hyuk) who everyone thought was dead. How will Goo Wol Ryung take revenge on Jo Kwan Woong (Lee Sung Jae) for ruining his life? And will Choi Kang Chi be able to remain human in the midst of the storm that is about to come?
