So Ji Sub And Shin Min Ah Drama Has A Start Date

The upcoming drama "Oh My God," starring So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah finally has a start date. For the past few weeks, it was known that the actors had committed to starring in the drama but "Oh My God" did not have a definite slot in the schedule. Rumors said that it would air anywhere from October to early 2016.

The 16-episode KBS drama is now scheduled to start in November. That means filming should start in Late September or October.

A few more details have been revealed about the drama. Until recently the producers only said that the drama was about losing weight and getting healthy. And it was suggested that both stars would play people who needed to get in shape.

That turns out not to be the case.

So Ji Sub is going to play a trainer named Kim Young Ho. He comes from a wealthy childhood but a traumatic childhood incident changed his life. He is a good trainer because he quietly and stubbornly pursues a goal and helps others to do the same.

Shin Min Ah will play Kang Joo, a woman who needs to shape up and get healthy. As a lawyer she has been focused on her career and supporting her family, but in the process she has let herself go. She's overweight and out of shape. So, she hires a personal trainer. That trainer is Kim Young Ho.

It is hard to believe that Shin Min Ah needs to get in shape but it will be fun to see how So Ji Sub helps her achieve her goal.

The drama will follow "Cheer Up" aka "Cheeky Go Go."

"Oh My God" will be So Ji Sub's first leading role in a drama since "The Master's Sun" and Shin Min Ah's first leading role since "Arang and The Magistrate." The actors previously appeared in a series of commercials together. They had a two-year modeling contract to shoot couple photos for the clothing brand Giordano, which provided plenty of opportunities for skinship. The clothing brand campaign featured a much-talked-about passionate kiss in the desert, so viewers can expect some onscreen chemistry from these two actors.
