Kbabies: Which Kdrama Couples Are Expecting

Three kdrama couples have announced they are going to take on the role of parents this year: actress Park Si Yeon and her husband, Park Sang Hun, actress Han Chae Young and her husband Choi Dong Joon, and actor Jung Suk Won, who recently married singer Baek Ji Young.

Park Si Yeon recently announced that she is six months pregnant. It's the first pregnancy since her marriage to Park, an office worker two years ago. The pregnancy is not without controversy since the actress is under investigation for her use of the drug propofol. She and two other actresses were accused of abusing the drug, but her doctor recently testified that she was legally prescribed the drug to treat a painful bone condition. Both she and her baby are reported to be healthy and it is not known how the condition might affect her pregnancy or delivery. Those following the case also wonder how the news of her pregnancy will affect its resolution.

Park Si Yeon is best known for playing Han Jae Hee in "The Innocent Man." Critics praised her performance in that drama, saying she held her own against fellow actors Moon Chae Won and Song Joong Ki. She also appeared in the dramas "My Girl," "Coffee House" and "The Greatest Love."

Han Chae Young has also announced that she is pregnant after being married for six years. She is now in the fifth month of her pregnancy but so far has not let her condition slow her down professionally. She wrapped up her role as Go Ah Ri in "You're An Ad Genius Lee Tae Baek" and recently modeled on the cover of and for a feature story in a special edition of "W Korea" magazine.

Han Chae Young plans to continue working following the birth of her child.

"Both she and her baby are healthy," said a representative from her agency when the pregnancy was announced. "Han Chae Young will get through her schedules and will try to stay on top of her job, while paying attention to her health."

When singer Baek Ji Young married actor Jung Suk Won last weekend, she was three months pregnant. The couple dated for two years before marrying and announced that they would be parents around the same time they declared their wedding plans. Both Baek Ji Young and Jung Suk Won, who appeared in "Iris II," "Haeundae Lovers," "Rooftop Prince," Ojakgyo Brothers" and "Midas," are excited about becoming parents. They plan to have three children as they are each one of three siblings and think that's just the right size for a family.

The couple will delay their honeymoon until after the baby is born.
