Double score for "Gu Family Book." The drama about a half-mythical creature longing to become human has consistently had the best ratings in its time slot and has also succeeded on the music charts. Every addition to the romantic OST has been a commercial success.

The latest addition, "Best Wishes to You" by The One jumped to the top of the online music charts before it was even played on the drama. The ballad was written by former One Two members Oh Chang Hoon and Park Sung Ho. The duo also contributed to the OST for the recent drama "That Winter, The Wind Blows."

"Best Wishes To You" supplies a haunting love theme for the story of Choi Kang Chi and Dam Yeo Wol, the two main characters in this drama. It's a love doomed to tragedy. Before Dam Yeo Wol, played by Suzy, met Choi Kang Chi, played by Lee Seung Gi, she was warned that their love might result in one of them dying. But it was impossible to turn away and despite the danger he poses, she remains by his side.

It would be hard to make a story of the mismatched lovers seem even more tragic but the song "Best Wishes to You" manages to do just that. Although it reached the top of the charts before it was shown in the drama, the song kept rising after it was played during romantic scenes.

Every song on the OST has been well received. There's "My Eden" by pop opera singer Yisabel, "Love Hurts" by Lee Sang Gon, "Love is Blowing" by Lee Yi Young, "Spring Rain" by Baek Ji Young, a singer who is known as the "Queen of OSTs," and a song each by the drama's two stars.

Suzy Bae sings the song "Don't Forget Me," which was composed by Kim Sun Min. It supplies the theme for her character.

Lee Seung Gi sings "The Last Word," a song he wrote and composed with Double Side Kick. It's the theme for Choi Kang Chi. The OST album will contain two versions of Lee Seung Gi's song. It will feature the original and piano versions.

The orchestra ballad "Only You" was created by 4Men, a three-member male vocal group.

The OST is a mix of pop, ballad, instrumental and R& B sounds. Loen Entertainment released all of the music videos for the songs on its official Youtube channel.
