The Nielsen ratings for "Gu Family Book" fell this week, but only slightly. Having reached 19.1 percent last week, ratings for Episode 21 fell less than a percentage point to 18.6 percent.

Fans of the MBC drama, which has ruled the ratings for weeks, are already sorry the story only has a few more episodes to go. With three episodes left, fans wonder whether Choi Kang Chi, played by Lee Seung Gi, will learn what he needs to know to become fully human? And what about the love he shares with Dam Yeol Wol, played by Suzy?

All sorts of things need to happen before he can become human and they can live happily ever after. Villains need to be vanquished and Choi Kang Chi needs to find the Gu Family Book. That's a lot to accomplish in the remaining episodes.

But things are moving along. The latest episodes of the drama saw the poignant resolution of the romance between Yoon Seo Hwa, played by both Yoon Se Ah and Lee Yeon Hee, and the demonic mountain spirit Gu Won Ryung, played by Choi Jin Hyuk. With this part of his family story resolved, Choi Kang Chi will now be able to focus on becoming less of a monster.

The SBS series, "Jang Ok Jung" maintained a strong 10.2 percent rating and stayed firmly in second place. Court intrigue continues. Misunderstandings grow. Maid Choi, played by Han Seung Yeon, now a royal concubine, plotted with the deposed queen against Jang Ok Jung, played by Kim Tae Hee. Jealousy and a series of misunderstandings separates the King, played by Yoo Ah In, and Jang Ok Jung, foreshadowing the tragic resolution of their drama.

The KBS drama "Shark" meanwhile does not seem to have caught on with viewers, despite an accomplished cast and an interesting story of revenge and love. Kim Nam Gil plays Han Yi Soo, a man plotting revenge against the corrupt family of his childhood love, Jo Hae Woo, played by Son Ye Jin. The latest episodes of this drama only managed to score 7.9 percent of the ratings.

The tvN series, "Dating Agency: Cyrano," about a dating agency for the romantically challenged, only earned 0.291 percent of the ratings.

When it came to variety shows, the KBS show "Hello" scored 8.2 percent, while the SBS show "Healing Camp" earned 6.8 percent.
