Five Fun Facts About Lee Bo Young

At the beginning of the popular new drama, "I Hear Your Voice," prosecutor Jang Hye Sung seems to only care about money. She's tough, quirky and not always likable, but it's easy to see she has a good heart and a strong sense of justice. That makes viewers care about her.

But how much do viewers know about Lee Bo Young, the talented actress who plays Jang Hye Sung? Here are five fun facts about her.

1. Her favorite band is CNBlue. Apparently, they are fond of her too. One of her co-stars in "My Daughter Seo Young" was band member Lee Jung Shin. He played Kang Sung Jae, a character that began to develop romantic feelings for her. And CNBlue's bandleader Jung Yong Hwa has said that Lee is the female celebrity he would most like to appear in a drama with.

"Lee Bo Young from "My Daughter Seo Young is really beautiful," said Jung. "Lee Jung Shin was Kang Sung Jae in the series. I wish I could be Kang Sun Jae too."

She thanked him for his compliment and met him at a concert but so far no one has cast them in a drama together. The weekend drama series "My Daughter Seo Young" was very popular, attaining ratings over 40 percent.

2. She once stole Lee Min Ho's wallet.  The two co-starred in two dramas, "Run Mackerel" and "EBS-Secret School Society" and the film "Our School ET."

After the Baeksang Awards, during which he received a best actor award, she forced him to buy her dinner.

"At first I told him I would buy dinner but then I took his wallet and made him buy me dinner," said Lee Bo Young.

3. She dates actor Ji Sung, who starred in "Protect the Boss." They met on the set of the SBS series "Save the Last Dance for Me" in 2004 and began dating in 2007. Last year they denied rumors that they would marry. He does not like to answer questions about her but once admitted he really loves her acting and that watching her act in "My Daughter Seo Young" brought him to tears.

"I watched my girlfriend's drama and while watching, I actually cried once," said Ji Sung.

4. Lee Bo Young found it difficult to leave the character of Seo Young behind. The 50-episode drama focused on the broken relationship between Seo Young and her father. Although it ended well, saying goodbye was tough.

5. Although she makes a living acting out stories, all of her hobbies involve stories of one kind or another. She likes taking pictures that ideally tell a story, watching films and dramas and reading.

So far the story of "I Hear Your Voice" gets more interesting with every episode.
