"Superstar K" winner Roy Kim and singer-turned actress Park Soo Jin are not really dating. It turns out there is no truth to the dating rumors. Nor is there any truth to the fact that they were deeply in love. But they did date. That much is true. And they did like each other. It just never progressed to the point where they felt the need to tell their fans.

Those are the facts. But earlier this week there were lots of rumors.

Rumors said that the two began dating shortly after the actress was a guest on the radio show "Roy Kim and Jung Joon Young's Close Friends." On the show, the actress, 28, told Roy Kim, 20, that she was a fan of his and that she watched every "Superstar K" episode.

When asked which of the disc jockeys she would choose, she said she would pick Roy Kim.

"I'll work hard to overcome eight-year age difference," she said with a smile.

Jung Joon Young pretended to be so mad at her choice that he left the room. But apparently, Kim responded to the flattery.

According to friends, the couple went on a few dates but then got busy with their careers and stopped dating.

Park Soo Jin, a former member of the girl group Sugar, recently played Park Shin Hye's former friend in "Flower Boys Next Door." She will soon star in the drama "The Blade and the Petal" with Uhm Tae Woong and Kim Young Chul.

Roy Kim recently released his first album, "Love, Love, Love."

To quiet the dating rumors, Roy Kim's agency, Fortune Entertainment, decided to release a statement.

"It's true that the two met a few times and there was some mutual interest but they have not seen each other recently," said the statement. "Roy Kim has officially debuted as a singer. He recently released his album. Please support his efforts."

On the radio show that Kim co-hosts, Jung Joon Young asked Kim how he was dealing with all the media attention that resulted from the dating scandal. Everyone wanted to know the details.

"How was your day," Jung asked the singer.

"It was a really long day," said Kim. He apologized to anyone who worried that the scandal might affect his career and promised to work harder for his fans.

Kim has no plans to date anyone at the moment.

"I'm just going to focus on my music," said Kim.
