‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ Movie Update: ‘Hellboy’ Actor Ron Perlman Joins The Cast

"Hellboy" star Ron Perlman joined the cast of upcoming fantasy film, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

The cast of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is expanding every week. According to Hollywood Reporter, the 65-years-old American actor Ron Perlman who is famous for his roles in "Hellboy," "Sons of Anarchy," "Beauty and the Beast," and "Pacific Rim" will play the role of a tall goblin in the upcoming novel adaptation of J.K Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

Ron Perlman has starred in six seasons of "Sons of Anarchy" and was recently seen in "Hand of God," directed by Marc Forster.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" follows the story of Newt Scamander, the famous magizoologist in the Wizarding World, who in his travels will meet the different types of magical creatures and how he will pen down Hogwarts School textbook, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." The film is set to star Eddie Redmayne in the role of a protagonist, while Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, Jenn Murray, Jon Voight, and newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove in other important roles.

The events noted down by Newt Scamander in his journal take place 70 years before the events of Harry Potter series.Since the story will took place 70 years ago before the events of Harry Potter, there are chances that fans will get to see the younger self of Albus Dumbledore.

"Harry Potter" book series author, J. K. Rowling is writing the screenplay for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." David Yates, who directed four of the "Harry Potter" films will direct the spin-off as well.

The production of the film commences on August 17, 2015, at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden. The fantasy film inspired by the book of the same name is scheduled to be released on November 18, 2015 in IMAX format.
