Ciara is standing by Russell Wilson amid all the controversies being thrown their way. The R&B diva reportedly believes the NFL star is "The One" for her, and she even posted an Instagram tribute earlier this week.
In an interview reported by Hello Beautiful, the "I Bet" singer gushed about how the Seattle Seahawks quarterback has made her a lot happier. The two began dating months ago after Ciara called off her engagement with rapper Future, who is also the father of her one-year-old son Future Wilburn Zahir.
After dumping ex-fiance Future over cheating allegations, the sexy single mom recovered quickly with the help of Russell Wilson.
"He is more than the one, he is awesome," Ciara said about her current beau. "He is phenomenal. Life is awesome."
The R&B songstress also regularly watches her NFL star beau during his games. Ciara's recent Instagram images showed her wearing a Seattle Seahawks beanie while cheering for Russell Wilson, making it seem like she is just laughing off the alleged "Ciara Curse."
Rolling Stone reported about the said hex, wherein hardcore football fans have been accusing the songstress due to her boyfriend's recent losses.
"You know what? It comes with territory," Ciara said about being blamed for Russell Wilson's supposed mediocre performance.
"When people say those types of comments, you know, that's silly. It's clearly silly."
"I choose to focus on the positive and focus on the cool things that are truly happening. That's how I live my life, and I have to say life is good. Clearly those things don't make any sense," she added.
Ciara and Russell Wilson have also been in the news for their feud with hip-hop artist Future.
According to a previous report from Hollywood Life, the dreadlocked rapper accused the couple for using his son for publicity, especially after Russell Wilson was photographed taking care of his child in public.
"At the end of the day, I'm not for the publicity stunt," Future tweeted.
"Leave my son out of all the publicity s-t. Just leave him out of your relationship, because we don't need your relationship for anything."
The rumor mill also went abuzz after Ciara and Russell Wilson confessed about their celibacy vow.
Per The Root, the football star explained their decision to abstain from sex until marriage when he visited San Diego's Rock Church.
"If you can really love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody," Russell Wilson said.
"I ain't gonna lie to y'all now: I need y'all to pray for us."
"We're not gonna be perfect, by any means. Life's not perfect," he added.
