Activision Blizzard Buys King Digital For $6B To Expand Mobile Interactivity Beyond 'World Of Warcraft'

(New York) -- After video game maker, King Digital Entertainment, maker of 'Candy Crush’ took heavy losses, Activision Blizzard Inc. , the company that makes ‘World of Warcraft’ decided to buy the former. for a whopping $5.9 billion, IBT reported. The company is best known for its video games, ““Call of Duty,” “World of Warcraft,” “Skylanders” and “Destiny.”

CEO of Activision, Bobby Kotick, said in a statement, the larger global network will enable Activision to cater to more people “than ever,” said IBT.

King Digitals was lauded for "creating incredibly fun, deeply engaging free-to-play games that capture the imaginations of players across ages and demographics," by Kotik, reported wbt.com
