Robert Pattinson's family can be protective, but could it be that they are taking things so far? Apparently, according to the new report, the "Twilight" star's wedding to fiancée FKA Twigs is delayed because of the meddling of his family.

The two have been engaged since the Coachella Music Festival, as disclosed by T-Pain and somewhat confirmed by the indie singer in a magazine interview. But why is there no wedding date yet?

"Robert and FKA Twigs were supposed to get married this year," an alleged source told Hollywood Life. "That was the plan, but his indecision over the situation has caused a delay."

Reportedly, Robert Pattinson's family s succeeded in making him second-guess a wedding to FKA Twigs.

"[They] planted a seed in his head, questioning whether Twigs is the right person he should be settling down with," the insider added.

Then there's the alleged disagreement in the family over the type of wedding, especially since Robert Pattinson doesn't want a huge church wedding, which was fine with FKA Twigs.

"He just wants to make sure everyone in his family is on the same page," the insider added. "It's like, even after all this time, he still has to convince them that Twigs is the right girl for him."

Just a week ago, another article claimed that Robert Pattinson's family supports FKA Twigs and was alleged to be concerned about the "Twilight" actor getting back with Kristen Stewart, even if she's now dating 21-year-old Lyndsey Gunnulfsen.

According to OK! magazine, per Celebrity Dirty Laundry, despite the fans' feelings about FKA Twigs, Robert Pattinson's family actually thinks that the British singer is good for the actor.

But Robert Pattinson's friends are against the wedding as they reportedly believes FKA Twigs a "gold digger."

"When friends say FKA is a gold digger, they may be right. But Robert's family doesn't see it that way. What the Pattinsons see is a guy who has taken on new interests - including music," CDL said.
