Setting an example to the fandoms worldwide, actor-singer Jang Geun Suk's fans donated over 9.26 million Korean won to charity.

His official fanclub Cri-J drew attention by launching an event that would commemorate the actor's solar calendar birthday (September 26) entitled "2013 Jang Keun-suk's Birthday Special Photo Exhibition."

Through this initiative, they were able to generate a total of 9.29 million Korean won, and the proceeds would be given to child-care facility in Namsan.

According to the actor's promoter Y Tree Media, Jang Geun Suk was touched by the heart-warming event his fans did for his birthday, and he also donated 9.26 million Korean won to the same Namsan facility in support of his fanclub's cause.

"I'm so happy that I have fans doing a good deed for me every birthday," said the actor-singer. "I hope our hearts could be a warm consolation to many people."

The beneficiary of the event expressed their utmost gratitude towards the idol and his fans, and they hope that more people would follow their steps and give donations that would help people. At the same time, many people are touched at how his fans took the mature and helpful route in supporting their idol.

Jang Geuk Suk, who has just finished the Fukuoka stop of his "ZIKZIN LOVE TOUR in ZEPP" concert series, will be making a small-screen comeback through the cartoon-based drama "Pretty Boy".
