“X Factor USA” 2013 Judge Simon Cowell Challenged to Sing “Power Rangers Theme for $1M; Watch Him Sing (Photo/Video)

 “The X Factor USA” judge, Simon Cowell has agreed to sing in public when challenged by billionaire Haim Saban who offered to donate $1 million to a charity event Tuesday if he sings the Power Rangers theme.

Caught off-guard, the notorious British mogul, known for his brutal honesty in reality singing competition, agreed to “put his dignity on the line for a good cause,” as noted by the Daily Mail and sang before a packed room of guests at the charity event held in Beverly Hills on Oct. 22.

For a promise of $1 million donation to the Friends of Israel Defence Forces, Simon performed his own rendition of “Go Go Power Rangers,” to the delight of the event’s guests.

It didn’t take him long however, after Simon begged to be allowed to stop the performance of Ron Wasserman’s song.

In order to convince the billionaire, Simon offered $100,000 as donation if he will be allowed to put an end to the task. But Saban agreed only at $250, 000 and all the fun was gone.

This is not the first time that Simon caved in to requests that he sings in public. It will be recalled that fellow “X Factor” judge, Kelly Rowland managed to convince him to show off his vocal prowess during the auditions held in Denver, Colorado.

The three female judges had all but good words for the soon-to-be-dad. Both Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio thought that his rendition of 1940s classic, “Fools Rush In,” as “charming.” But Kelly Rowland was more specific with her take on Simon’s vocal skills.

Kelly said, “I knew that voice was always there.”
