Yeezus Tour 2013: Kanye West Cancels More Tours Following Truck Road Accident (Photo/Video)
While some of his fans think postponing Yeezus tour is “not cool,” Kim Kardashian’s fiancé, Kanye West it is for the best. The newly engaged rapper announces more tours to be cancelled following the road accident involving the truck carrying the LED screen that will be used for the shows.
Kanye postponed his scheduled show in Anaheim, Calif . Originally set on Nov. 1. The singer decided to push it back on Dec. 13, noting that the cancellation is “due to production logistics,” said New York Daily News.
His shows set in Vancouver, Denver and Minneapolis have also been postponed indefinitely.
The rapper’s label, Def Jam Records issued a statement explaining what caused the postponement, which has been attributed to the road accident involving the truck that was carrying the major props to be used on Yeezus shows.
The statement said that while on the road to Vancouver, for the city’s show, “the truck carrying The Yeezus Tour’s custom-made video truss and 60-ft circular LED screen was in an accident that damaged the gear beyond repair.”
Explaining how important the LED screen was for the show, the statement continued, noting its key role in the creative vision of The Yeezus Tour.
West and his team promises to keep their fans abreast on the updates of the cancelled tour and to provide them new details of the show’s new schedules.
The Yeezus Tour kicked off in Seattle on October 19, which started two hours late due to production logistics.

Yesterday, on the road to Vancouver, a truck carrying The Yeezus Tour’s custom-made video truss and 60-ft circular LED screen was in an accident that damaged the gear beyond repair.
This gear is central to the staging of The Yeezus Tour, and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA.
As a result of this event, it is impossible to put on the show and The Yeezus Tour will be postponed until these essential pieces can be reengineered and refabricated.
Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans.
The Vancouver, Denver and Minneapolis dates have been postponed. Further details on the affected tour dates will be announced shortly.
