"Backstreet Rookie" Recap: Will Dae Hyun Continue to Understand and Trust Saet Byul?

Yeon Joo invited Saet Byul to join dinner together with Dae Hyun. It's Saet Byul first time to dine in a high-class restaurant inside a hotel. 

She gets to taste an expensive wine and sumptuous steak, though Yeon Joo is not happy seeing Dae Hyun act casually with Saet Byul. Director Cho drove Yeon Joo back home while Dae Hyun went to the store to fix the orders with Saet Byul.

Awarded as the employee of the month, Saet Byul was interviewed by the advertising team to promote their branch. Dae Hyun's whole family came to the store to support her. A piggyback ride with Dae Hyun and Saet Byul photoshoot wrapped up the interview.

Early morning, Dae Hyun picked up Yeon Joo at her place showing off his ability to drive his girlfriend to work. He wanted to show Yeon Joo his love and a good boyfriend as well.

Eun Byul is Saet Byul's younger sister. She loves to dance and sing, which Saet Byul disagrees. Since their father died, Saet Byul dropped out of school and worked hard to support Eun Byul's studies. 

Geum Bi found out that Eun Byul skipped her class and went to audition. She informed Saet Byul about it, though Eun Byul passed the first interview she needs to finish another level of the audition. Saet Byul went to the event and scolded her sister and tried to catch her but Eun Byul reached her school. Saet Byul cannot enter the school premises, leaving Eun Byul for the day. 

Dae Hyun's family went out for their team dinner celebrating the store's high sales and Saet Byul's good performance. She invited her good friend, celebrity actor Ji Wook. 

The interview article was released and Dae Hyun and Yeo Joo were shocked to see Saet Byul's piggyback ride with Dae Hyun. It circulated around the country, which implies that he is flirting and acting single in the presence of Yeon Joo.

Dae Hyun waited outside Yeon Joo's house and saw Director Cho accompanying his girlfriend. Yeon Joo was drunk and asked Cho for a piggyback ride going to her place. Dae Hyun felt devastated seeing her girlfriend getting back at him.

Back in the store, three bullies that Saet Byul encountered at the bathroom protecting Yeon Joo arrived. They secretly approached from the back and hit Saet Byul right to her head by a big wood. Saet Byul dropped to the floor and is unconscious.

Just in time, Dae Hyun came and saw the bullies running away from the store. He recognized them and went running to see Saet Byul. She gained consciousness but felt pain in her stomach. He brought her to the hospital, the doctor advised she has acute appendicitis and needed to undergo surgery.

Saet Byul's best friend Geum Bi is filthy rich and as soon she knew that she got hospitalized, she visited and transferred her to a private room. 

Meanwhile, Dae Hyun is trying to appease Yeon Joo and knowing Director Cho is always trying to win his girlfriend. 

Ms. Kim investigated Dae Hyun's background and found out what he does. She asked him to deliver the items she bought from the store. At the time of delivery, Dae Hyun went inside the house and met Yeon Joo's mother. Just in time, Yeon Joo comes out from her room going to work. She met Dae Hyun in the living room with her unfixed look in front of her mother. 

Her mother made it clear to her how unlikely Dae Hyun would be part of their family. Dae Hyun went outside and left Yeon Joo behind.

In despair, Yeon Joo went to the hospital trying to find Dae Hyun. She confronted Saet Byul instead to stay away from Dae Hyun. Yeon Joo shared ever since she arrived they have begun to fight numerous times.  

Later that night, as Dae Hyun arrived to check on her, Saet Byul told Dae Hyun that she will stop working at the convenience store. Confused, he looked at her speechless.
