‘The Penthouse 2’ Sets New High Viewership Rating During its First Broadcast + Episode 1 Recap
"The Penthouse 2" started with a bang on its first episode!
Making a big return for a second season on the primetime is none other than the record-breaking drama "The Penthouse," indeed, lots of explosive revelations happened during its first broadcast.
After closing the curtains for their first season last Jan. 5, "The Penthouse" finally started the journey for its second season and the audience are already intense for the drama's first episode.
"The Penthouse 2" Made An Impressive Start
On Feb. 19, the first episode of the drama aired and was able to achieve 19.1 percent viewership rating according to Nielsen Korea. Even though "The Penthouse 2" aired in a new time slot during Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m (KST), the hype of the series is inevitable. Viewers are still highly-anticipating every scene and confrontation of each character.
Nielsen Korea also revealed that the pilot episode of the second season of "The Penthouse" scored an average ratings of 16.7 percent (first part) and 19.1 percent (2nd part). This good and impressive start is expected to continue in the upcoming episodes.

"The Penthouse 2" Episode 1 Recap
The story begins two years after Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon) and Ju Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon). Most of the scenes were centered around these two characters, for they become closer to each other. While in the middle of an event, an uninvited guest arrived that put Cheon Seo Jin in deep shock. Knowing that it was Oh Yoon Hee (Eugene), whom she knew was gone years ago. Along with her is Logan Lee (Park Eun Seok).
Meanwhile, the culprit behind all the death threats for Cheon Seo Jin has been revealed, and it was Deacon Yang (Kim Ro Sa). She did it because of her unrequited love for Cheon Seo Jin's husband, Ju Dan Tae.

There are also some cliffhangers that will make the viewers watch for more episodes to continue how the story will unfold. But, this was just the first episode of the second season. Watch out for more complicated and nerve-racking moments of the cast. A revengeful new season that everyone will surely be hooked up.
