‘The Psychiatrist of Joseon’ Starring Kim Min Jae Involved in Car Accident
Kim Min Jae's forthcoming series "The Psychiatrist of Joseon" is currently under productio, but its filming team was involved in an accident while on their way to their location.

Director Dies in Car Accident
According to K-media reports on March 31, tvN's new drama "The Psychiatrist of Joseon" filming team was involved in a vehicular accident. The bus that contained the staff and crew of the production was reportedly hit by a dump truck.
In particular, there were ten directors on the bus, and it has been confirmed that one program director died in the accident. Three people were seriously injured, including the bus driver, while seven staff members were slightly wounded. It happened 7:50 a.m. (KST) on March 31.

All of them were taken to the hospital and are currently receiving emergency treatment. Meanwhile, the dump truck driver is reportedly safe.
An insider from the drama's production shared that the filming team was traveling to Paju Studio for the scheduled filming. Due to the incident, the filming was put on hold and will resume until further notice.
The representative added that the team plans to discuss the future schedule of the production with the broadcasting company.

The police also plan to investigate to know the exact details of the car mishap and other damages. Included in the report is that the people who witnessed the incident believed that the dump truck left the gas station and entered the wrong lane, which caused it to hit the bus.
The actors and actresses were not on the bus.
What We Know So Far About Kim Min Jae and Kim Hyang Gi's Fantasy Drama
"The Psychiatrist of Joseon" tells the story of Yoo Se Poong (Kim Min Jae), a physician in a royal family. He becomes involved in a scheme of the royal family, which leads him to be kicked out of the palace and starts to work in an unfamiliar, but beautiful village of Gyesu.
He then meets Seo Eun Woo (Kim Hyang Gi) and Gye Ji Han (Kim Sang Kyung). Yoo Se Poong transforms into a doctor who treats patients' physical ailments and their mental pains.
Originally the series was expected to premiere in the first half of 2022. But due to the accident, it is expected the broadcast will adjust to a later date.
Director Park Won Gook is in charge of the drama, and writers Choi Min Ho, Park Seul Ki, and Lee Bom will work together to pen the script.
