Before the "Next Sohee" rakes achievements at the Cannes Film Festival, Bae Doona starred in a July Jung film "A Girl at My Door."

Released in 2014, the psychological drama film is the award-winning filmmaker's directorial debut, which scored recognitions at the 25th Stockholm International Film Festival for Best Film, Best New Director at the 23rd Buil Film Awards, and Best New Director at the 51st Baeksang Arts Awards. 

In addition to this, the movie also premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2014. 

The award winning movie stars Bae Doona, Song Sae Byuk and Kim Sae Ron as lead stars. In addition, "A Girl at My Door" also includes veteran actress Kim Jin Goo, Gong Myung as policeman Kwon Soon Oh and Park Jin Woo as Detective Chief.

Apart from the roster of talented stars, the movie also showcased a unique storyline that kept viewers hooked throughout the film. 

Based on Rotten Tomatoes, "A Girl at My Door" garnered a 93 percent Tomatometer and 74 percent on audience score, with most of the comments lauding Bae Doona's acting and July Jung's masterpiece. 

Eight years after the psychological mystery film was released, here are the current and upcoming projects of "A Girl at My Door" cast Bae Doona, Kim Sae Ron, and Song Sae Byuk. 

Bae Doona (Lee Young Nam)

The award-winning actress took on the role of Lee Young Nam, a promising graduate of the police academy who was sent to a small seaside village due to a controversy. 

"A Girl at My Door" earned Bae Doona several nominations and scored two Best Actress trophies for Chunsa Film Art Awards and the 2015 Asian Film Awards.

This 2022, two of her movies made it to the 75th Cannes Film Festival; these are "Broker," directed by renowned Japanese filmmaker Koreeda Hirokazu and "Next Sohee" with July Jung. 

Apart from it, she is also set to headline an upcoming film titled "Virus" with Kim Yoon Seok. 

Kim Sae Ron (Sun Do Hee)

Then teenage actress Kim Sae Ron surprised viewers with her stellar performance at a young age. She played the role of the mysterious Sun Do Hee, a girl living in a small town with her abusive father. 

After the award-winning movie, Kim Sae Ron appeared in several notable films and dramas, including "Mirror of the Witch," "Leverage," and her recent "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim."

Unfortunately, due to the controversy involving a DUI charge after being caught up in a car accident, the 21-year-old actress was prompted to step down from her two upcoming Kdrama. First is the SBS series "Trolley," followed by a forthcoming Netflix series "Bloodhounds" with Woo Do Hwan. 

Song Sae Byuk (Park Yong Ha)

In the 2014 movie, the 42-year-old actor played Kim Sae Ron's onscreen father, Park Yong Ha. 

Interestingly, Song Sae Byuk reunited with Bae Doona as he appeared in a guest role for "Broker." In addition, he also headlined the action film "Special Delivery" alongside Park So Dam.
