Son Hyun Joo, Jang Seung Jo, and the second team dubbed the "Good Detectives" of the Incheon Western Police Station will resume their investigation.

Broadcasting company JTBC surprised many on June 28 after they unveiled its first teaser poster of "The Good Detective" Season 2, displaying the powerful team of detectives who are ready for new adventures. Directed by Jo Nam Guk and script penned by Choi Jin Won, the two teamed up again for the drama's second installment.

"The Good Detective" Season 1 successfully ended in August 2020 with a viewership rating of 8.5 percent, based on Nielsen Korea's record. Most of all, the drama's plot and characters' stories left a great impression on viewers. Thanks to these, the series has become a "well-made drama" that perfectly combines various genres. For a well-done series, right after season 1 concluded, the production was flooded by requests from viewers, asking for season 2.

And after almost two years, the waiting is finally over. "The Good Detective" is a reversal investigation drama that introduces the good detectives from the second team of violent crime who are ready to face the evil and put them behind bars.

In the first poster released, Kang Do Chang (Son Hyun Joo), Oh Ji Hyuk (Jan Seung Jo), Kwon Jae Hong (Cha Rae Hyung), Ji Man Gu (Jung Soon Won), Byun Ji Woong (Kim Ji Hoon) and Shim Dong Wook (Kim Myung Joon) reunite in one frame giving viewers excitement of what to look forward to on its upcoming broadcast.
'The Good Detective' Season 2 To Premiere This July
The comeback poster contains messages announcing the upgraded team. The confident steps of the detectives, who appeared together after opening the door marks of a new start. The teaser also has a caption that reads: "They are back with more power."
Furthermore, the cast and crew finished filming "The Good Detective" Season 2 last May and are now preparing for its release in the second half of this year. The action series is expected to premiere this coming July.
Meanwhile, other cast members and the exact date of the drama's broadcast are yet to be confirmed.
