Interestingly, Jung Woo Sung received a surprising DM from a rapper asking about the upcoming film.

Snoop Dogg DMed Jung Woo Sung About 'Hunt' Release

In his recent Instagram story, the lead star shared a message sent by award-winning rapper Snoop Dogg, expressing his excitement to see "Hunt."

Jung Woo Sung's Instagram featured a screenshot of their conversation with the "Drop it Like It's Hot" hitmaker saying "I need to see that movie 'Hunt'!!" to which the South Korean star replied, "Fosho... working on the U.S. release now!"

Officially premiered in the non-competition Midnight Screening section at the Cannes Film festival 2022, "Hunt" is Lee Jung Jae's directorial debut.

Following the positive response and not to mention a standing ovation at the festival, the espionage action movie will have its theatrical release on August 10.

With this, Megabox Plus M, the distribution company behind the film, announced that the "Hunt'' is sold to 144 countries. It includes Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, and more.

However, according to Jung Woo Sung, they are dealing with the possible release of the movie in the United States.

"Hunt" follows the story of two skilled National Intelligence Service (NIS) agents, who are set on a mission to chase after a North Korean spy director.

However, amid their investigation, they were accused of being the mole and soon uncovered a hidden truth.

The action-packed movie is Jung Woo Sung and Lee Jung Jae's reunion project, 24 years after they filmed "City of the Rising Sun."

Joining the two lead stars are Jeon Hye Jin, "Squid Game" villain Heo Sung Tae and Go Yoon Jung from "Alchemy of Souls."

While fans wait for the highly anticipated reunion between the two renowned South Korean stars, a video of Jung Woo Sung went viral after a fan posted her experience during the "Hunt" press conference.

As noted by media outlets, the post titled "Jung Woo-sung took my Mentos" shared how the actor took her candy during the meet and greet.

"Today, I went to the stage to greet them. On my way home from work, Mentos was in my pocket," the person wrote, adding "While shaking hands with Jung Woo Sung, I held it in my hand, but he took it."

With this, netizens hilariously dubbed Jung Woo Sung as the "mentos theft" but the actor's agency, Artist Company released a video, with the lead star apologizing for the incident.

In a short clip, he expressed his apology and says that they are in search of the owner of Mentos.
