Besides TV shows, Korean movies are stepping up their A-game delivering movies that are surely slated to hit the box office. Interestingly, the second quarter of 2022 will feature upcoming films headlined by A-listers and Korean heartthrobs who are making a comeback. From actors like Hyun Bin and Joo Woon, who will be returning to the silver screen to movies with a star-studded cast featuring Lee Jung Jae, Jung Woo Sung, Lee Byung Hun, Song Kang Ho, and more, here are the upcoming movies headlined by certified A-listers and heartthrobs.

After his 2018 film "Rampant," Hyun Bin returns with an action-packed sequel. Reunited with the versatile actor Yoo Hae Jin and joined by Daniel Henney, the trio will be the lead stars of the upcoming movie "Confidential Assignment 2: International."

It is the second installment of the 2017 film directed by Kim Sung Hoon, "Rampant."

"Confidential Assignment 2: International" will be helmed by "The Pirates" director Lee Seok Hoon and set to premiere in September.

Hyun Bin will reprise his role as North Korean detective Im Chul Ryung while Yoo Hae Jin still gets to play the South Korean detective Kang Jin Tae.

Interestingly, the new character, U.S FBI agent Jack, is portrayed by Daniel Henney. Another familiar face will return in "Confidential Assignment 2: International" as Girls' Generation's YoonA reprises her role as Park Min Young.

Another K-drama heartthrob who will return to the big screen is Joo Won. Netflix teased viewers with the 34-year-old star's stunning physique as he plays a skilled agent in the upcoming movie "Carter.

For his new movie, Joo Won wakes up one day without recollecting his past. To get things worse, he becomes involved in a secret mission that will completely change his life.

Joo Won's new movie "Carter" is set to debut on August 5 through Netflix.

Yoo Ah In (Seoul Vibe)

Award-winning actor Yoo Ah In becomes Seoul's best drifter and Samgyedong crew leader, Dong Wook, in the upcoming film "Seoul Vibe."

Joining him as the lead star is Go Kyung Pyo as Woo Sam, the group's unofficial DJ, while Lee Kyu Hyung portrays Bok Nam, the navigator.

Wrapping up the Samgyedong crew are Ong Seong Wu as Joon Gi and Park Ju Hyun as Dong Wook's younger sister Yoon Hee

Netflix recently announced that Yoo Ah In's "Seoul Vibe" will be released on August 26.

A-listers Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung reunite for the movie "Hunt." Besides the celebrity friends working for the first time after 24 years, the upcoming espionage film will be Lee Jung Jae's directorial debut.

Joining the duo is Jeon Hye Jin, Heo Sung Tae, and "Alchemy of Souls" star Go Yoon Jung.

While "Hunt" initially premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2022, it will have its theatrical release on August 10.

Another Korean movie that made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival and is set to hit the big screen this 2022 is "Emergency Declaration."

The forthcoming movie boasts a star-studded cast, including Lee Byung Hun, Song Kang Ho, Im Siwan, Kim Nam Gil, Jeon Do Yeon, and more.

Interestingly, viewers would see "Emergency Declaration" in theaters starting August 3.
