Hyun Bin Opens Up on Reunion With Daniel Henney After 17 Years in 'Confidential Assignment 2'
As "Confidential Assignment 2" gears up for the much-awaited premiere, Hyun Bin talks about his comeback, married life, and reunion with Daniel Henney.
The Hallyu star along with fellow cast Yoo Hae Jin, Girls' Generation's YoonA, Jin Sun Kyu together with director Lee Seok Hoon graced the press conference as they introduced the upcoming action-packed movie.
"Confidential Assignment 2: International" is the sequel to the 2017 blockbuster film headlined by Hyun Bin and Yoo Hae Jin.
The duo reprises their roles as they team up for a special mission. Hyun Bin returns as a North Korean detective named Rim Chul Ryung while Yoo Hae Jin returns as a South Korean detective named Kang Jin Tae. YoonA plays as as Park Min Young, the sister-in-law of Kang Jin Tae.

Interestingly, the highly anticipated sequel introduced new faces. Daniel Henney plays Jack, USA's FBI detective, who is on a mission to chase the North Korean criminal organization.
As for the new villain, "Confidential Assignment 2: International" will have Jin Sun Kyu as Jang Myung Joon, the big boss of the criminal syndicate.
At the media briefing, Hyun Bin gets candid as he spoke about his experience filming his comeback movie.
Hyun Bin Happy to Be Reunited With Daniel Henney
The 39-year-old star shared that he is excited to work with Daniel Henney again and was "really looking forward to it" as he joins "Confidential Assignment 2."
"As we've both been in our individual places and have been acting well to fit our situations, I think that's why we were able to work on another project together. It was so nice to see him on set," he said, as obtained by a media outlet.

As for the American model-actor, he appeared via video call and recalled his first time working with Hyun Bin. Daniel Henney expressed the same thought and said that it felt like they "got close right off the bat."
Moreover, he also shared a remarkable moment throughout the production and mentioned the nightclub scene.
"After that filming, Hyun Bin and I drank beer at a hotel and talked a lot about old times. I personally really enjoyed it," he added.
It can be recalled that the "Crash Landing on You" star and Daniel Henney first starred in the 2005 drama "My Lovely Sam Soon" with Kim Sun Ah.
The upcoming action movie is their first time to be reunited after 17 years.
As for Hyun Bin, "Confidential Assignment 2" is his big screen comeback, four years since he filmed "Rampant."
This is also his first project since he got married to his wife, Son Ye Jin.
Hyun Bin Gives Update on His Married Life
Speaking of marriage, the soon-to-be father also spoke about his personal life, saying that as of the moment, "there haven't been any big changes."
It seems that Hyun Bin is already prepared for their little one and has been coping well with married life.
"Confidential Assignment 2" is set to hit theaters on September 7.
