‘One Dollar Lawyer’ Episode 1-2: Namgoong Min Meets Kim Ji Eun
The newly premiered series "One Dollar Lawyer" starring Namgoong Min and Kim Ji Eun is now ready to take on the Hallyu scene, delivering a fresh new perspective of legal dramas. Here's what happened during its first week of broadcast.
'One Dollar Lawyer' Episode 1: Cheon Ji Hoon Meets Baek Ma Ri
In the first episode of "One Dollar Lawyer," efficient lawyer Cheo Ji Hoon (Namgoong Min) risks his life as he walks calmly to the man who threatens to take his own life by jumping off the bridge.
Due to his endless debts, the man sees no way out but to kill himself. Cheon Ji Hoon then promises to help him solve his problem in exchange for a $1 legal fee.
Elsewhere, prosecutor Baek Ma Ri (Kim Ji Eun) is doing her best to seek justice in a sexual harrassment case.

When Cheon Ji Hoon comes to the office, the two instantly get on each other's nerves, waging war. Despite their differences, the two were able to close their cases with their top notch skills and strategies.
The following day, a new case welcomes Cheon Ji Hoon and Baek Ma Ri in which a man is charged with burglary, making them unhappy with the case.
However, they are convinced that the man didn't steal anything. The two lawyers also found that the suspect has a heart condition, moving them.
In episode 1, the Baek Law Firm is able to find the man who falsely accused the suspect. At the end of the episode, Cheon Ji Hoon is able to prove the poor man's innocence.
'One Dollar Lawyer' Episode 2: Cheon Ji Hoon and Baek Ma Ri's Cat and Dog Life
In "One Dollar Lawyer" episode 2, Cheon Ji Hoon successfully closes the case, all thanks to his hard work and the man's innocence.
However, Baek Ma Ri remains salty as the prosecution loses the case. Although she wouldn't admit it, she is impressed with the former's strategy and unconventional methods.
Baek Ma Ri also reunites with her grandfather Baek Hyun Moo (Lee Deok Hwa), the sole founder of Cheon Ji Hoon's law firm.
Unfortunately, her skills lack grit and power. Because of this, Baek Ma Ri's grandfather asks her to work somewhere else-under Cheon Ji Hoon's watch.
Meanwhile, Seo Minhyuk (Choi Dae Hoon) returns to South Korea with the intention to ask Baek Ma Ri's hand for marriage. As for the new case, a young man asks for Cheon Ji Hoon's help to teach his grandfather, who's a big bully.
Cheon Ji Hoon then goes berserk, totaling the other party's car. To his surprise, the grandfather's lawyer is Baek Ma Ri. He challenges the latter that if she wins the court trial, then he will take the young prosecutor under his wing.
