Joo Ji Hoon is returning to the big screen with the highly anticipated movie "Gentleman."

With this, Wavve teases fans with an intriguing poster featuring the top star as he transformed into a top-notch private investigator.

On November 24, the local streaming platform unveiled the official poster and announced the premiere of the movie.

The teaser showed off Joo Ji Hoon showing off his dapper looks wearing a bright blue tuxedo while holding a puppy in one hand as he radiates a provocative yet humorous charm.

The phrase "Do you need the courtesy to catch bad guys?" also draws attention, hinting at the character.

Interestingly, aside from teasing fans with the official poster, Wavve confirms the release date of Joo Ji Hoon's new movie.

"Gentleman" will have its theatrical release on December 28.

'Gentleman' Cast

The upcoming movie follows the story of a private investigator who was framed for murder. Due to this, Ji Hyun Soo seeks vindication to clear his name.

However, he gets caught in another major case and crosses paths with Prosecutor Kim Hwa Jin.

Joining Joo Ji Hyun as the villain is Park Sung Woong from "Snowdrop" who took the role of aristocratic prosecutor.

In addition, "Beyond Evil" star Choi Sung Eun plays prosecutor Kim Hwa Jin. She replaced Han So Hee who was initially offered to play her role but had to drop out from the movie due to health concerns.

Why Did Han So Hee Withdraw from Joo Ji Hoon's Movie 'Gentleman'?

In August 2021, Han So Hee's agency 9Ato Entertainment confirmed that the actress has decided to withdraw from the new film "Gentleman" because of health issues.

In a report, the team is set to begin production in the same month but had to do changes because of the "Nevertheless" star.

According to her agency, Han So Hee wished to "continue to be a part of the film despite her busy schedule, but was advised recently by her doctor to take a break and recuperate to recover from her current condition of feeling severe fatigue."

Joo Ji Hoon's Back-to-Back Projects

Aside from "Gentleman", Joo Ji Hoon is set to appear in multiple projects.

After his team-up with Jun Ji Hyun for "Jirisan," the top actor is headlining an upcoming K-drama "Dominant Species" with Han Hyo Joo.

The upcoming series is slated to release in 2023 and is written by Lee Soo Yeon of "Grid" and "Stranger" series.

Adding to the list of his upcoming projects is the much-awaited "kingdom" spin-off.

"Kingdom: Tale of the Crown Prince" will focus on Joo Ji Hyun's character, Crown Prince Lee Chang, and his mission to save the kingdom from the plague.

The upcoming spin-off is written by the renowned Kim Eun Hee and will be under Netflix.
