In spite of all the great reviews for "The Glory," many have expressed their disappointment with Song Hye Kyo's newest Netflix series.

In particular, her partnership with Lee Do Hyun has gained polarized opinions for various reasons. Here's what happened.

Viewers Demand To Replace Lee Do Hyun In 'The Glory'

While Song Hye Kyo redeemed herself from her prejudiced bland acting through "The Glory," the same thing can't be said to Lee Do Hyun.

Netflix Korea's new series centers on the revenge of a school violence victim who becomes her perpetrator's child's homeroom school teacher.

In the series, Song Hye Kyo takes on the role of Moon Dong Eun, a teacher who seeks revenge after she suffered from her schoolmate's unceasing torture. Lee Do Hyun plays the role of Joo Yeo Jeong, a plastic surgeon with a dark past.

The series highlighted Song Hye Kyo's improved acting skills. In the drama, the actress showcased her subtle acting performances and effective facial expressions.

In particular, Song Hye Kyo also boasted her entertaining synergy with co-stars Lim Ji Yeon, Kim Hieora, Cha Joo Young and Kim Gun Woo, who acted as her school bullies.

Jung Sung Il, who took on the role of Song Hye Kyo's Go partner, also displayed great chemistry with the actress, capturing the attention of the viewers.

Because of this, the fans who have seen "The Glory" wished that Song Hye Kyo ends up with Jung Sung Il in the end despite Lee Do Hyun being the main love interest.

One fan commented, "I know Netflix Korea will push for Lee Do Hyun as Song Hye Kyo's leading man but Jung Sung Il and Song Hye Kyo's chemistry is insane."

In the series, Song Hye Kyo and Jung Sung Il would meet to play Go, and fans would notice the extreme sexual tension between the two despite never saying a word.

Compared to Lee Do Hyun, many fans are drawn to the complicated dynamics that the other two possess.

"Lee Do Hyun's acting is so flat. He and Song Hye Kyo don't have any spark," a viewer boldly stated. As they wait for Part 2, fans demand to replace Lee Do Hyun with Jung Sung Il as Song Hye Kyo's love interest.

The producers haven't released any statement about the changes in the series but anything is possible especially that Part 2 is still in its production process.
