'Running Man,' 'Mister Trot 2,' More Dominate January 2023 Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings

The top 20 programs that made it to Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings for January 2023 are finally revealed by the Korean Business Research Institute.

Like the previous rankings, the results are determined through an analysis of the consumers' participation, interaction, community awareness, media coverage and appearance, and viewership indexes.

The data collected is from December 6, 2022, to January 6, 2023.

Different from the past rankings, "Running Man," which always topped the list, downgraded to third as TV Chosun's hit audition show "Mister Trot 2" snatched the first place with a brand reputation index of 14,330,990.

In addition, "audition" and "ratings" are the high-ranking phrases included in the show's keyword analysis.

"Mister Trot 2's" positivity-negativity analysis was able to gain 93.07 percent positive reactions.

Occupying second place is another audition program, "Fire Trot," under MBN. It earned a brand reputation index of 9,968,789 for this month.

'Running Man' Ranks 3rd in January 2023 Brand Reputation Rankings

Longest-running Korean variety show "Running Man," starring Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jongkook, Song Ji Hyo, Haha, Jeon So Min, and Yang Se Chan, recorded a reputation index of 5,117,512.

The previous controversies pertaining to the show might be the cause of its downgrade at the brand reputation rankings.

The MBC's famous program "Home Alone," also known as "I Live Alone," entered the list and placed fourth with a brand index of 4,749,641, while "I Am Solo" made it to the fifth spot with a score of 3,629,311.
