According to Neilsen Korea, the latest episode hit the show's highest rating yet after the crime action K-drama garnered an average nationwide rating of 14.7 percent.
With this, the March 3 broadcast is the season's new all-time high.
'Taxi Driver 2' Episode 5 Recap
The episode began with a little girl running away from a group of guys who seemed after her.
She unexpectedly meets Kim Do Gi, Ahn Go Eun, and the rookie driver On Ha Joon after Do Gi almost hit the child.
Thankfully, his reflexes were fast but the child seemed scared and run away from the group.
Kim Do Gi managed to locate the child who seemed frightened but chose to bring her to the Rainbow Taxi headquarters after she refused to be turned over to the police.
During Kim Do Gi's conversation with their head Chairman Jang, they found out that her "parents" doesn't recognize her but a group of two guys was looking after her.
This is where the group started their investigation and found a guy named Mr. Kang who seemed to be the person behind it.
According to Ahn Go Eun's research, he is ultra-rich and owns several properties.
He is also giving financial talks and on real estate business.
To get more information, Do Gi asked Ahn Go Eun to be his wife as they disguised themselves as a couple who are looking into investing in their first home.

After being rejected by Mr. Kang, Do Gi and Ahn Go Eun are being investigated by the company regarding their credits and availing loans.
Little did they know that they are just after finding out how the kid is related to Mr. Kang.
As part of the credit investigation, Mr. Kang and his team visit Do Gi and Ahn Go Eun's residence but listed Mr. Jang's place as their home.
Mr. Kang was surprised that the couple was living in a nice apartment, raising doubts about the duo's motive.
However, they explained that they are only living in a room along with the owner.
In the last part of the episode, Mr. Kang seemed skeptical regarding Kim Do Gi and Ahn Go Eun's marriage.
"You are not yet married, are you?" he asked.
At this point, the duo was clueless about how he found out about it and if they have blown their undercover.
