Song Kang Ho's 'Cobweb' Drops Enticing Film Teaser

On May 11, Kim Jee Won's "Cobweb" released its teaser trailer for the upcoming film, which is set to premiere this month at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

Set in Seoul 1970, the black comedy film follows the life of a dissatisfied director who wishes to re-film the ending of his project called "Cobweb" despite various challenges and interferences.

Song Kang Ho takes on the role of Director Kim, a filmmaker with much gusto and excitement to rework his film to transform it into a masterpiece.

Meanwhile, Im Soo Jung, Oh Jung Se, Jeon Yeo Bin and Krystal Jung join the cast as renowned actors in the industry who all face struggles as they are forced to work together for another two days.

The film trailer shares a glimpse of the lives of the director and the actors inside a dark and enclosed filming set, determined to create a masterpiece of a film in two days.

However, things get out of hand as deep and dark secrets begin to unfold which severs ties among colleagues, putting Director Kim's project in jeopardy.

"Cobweb," the film-within-a-film masterpiece, hasn't released its domestic premiere dates. It will be screened for the out of competition section at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 25 at 10:30 p.m. KST at the Lumiere Grand Theater!

It includes "Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny" by James Mangold and "Killers of the Flower Moon" by Martin Scorsese.

In particular, Song Joong Ki's noir film "Hopeless" and Ju Ji Hoon's disaster film "Project Silence" are also two South Korean works that were invited to the distinguished film festival.

Meanwhile, the 76th Cannes Film Festival takes place on May 16 to 27 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in France.
