Netflix officially unveils the character poster for "D.P. 2," featuring the new and returning cast like Jung Jae Hin, Goo Kyo Hwan, and more.
On the streaming giant's official Instagram, Netflix hints at what to expect in the highly anticipated sequel.
'D.P 2' Cast
After the huge success of season 1, the beloved duo, private soldier Ahn Jun Ho (Jung Hae In) and corporal Han Hyo Yul is set to make a comeback in "D.P. 2."
Joining them are the returning members of the 103rd Infantry Division and the new faces from the National Army Headquarters.
In the upcoming sequel, Netflix hints that "D.P." season 2 will showcase "bigger scale" and "deeper stories.
Set to be released on August 27, the six-part K-drama will showcase an interesting cast lineup.
D.P. team member consists of Ahn Jun Ho and the team leader, Han Ho Yul, along with their mission to catch the deserters.
Meanwhile, Sergeant Park Bum Goo, played by Kim Sung Kyun, is facing disciplinary action after the incident happened to Private Cho Seok Bong.
As for Captain Im Ji Seop, portrayed by Son Seok Koo, viewers will get to see his possible downfall after his involvement with the military's anomalies.
Interestingly, new faces are joining the upcoming sequel, including Ji Jin Hee, who takes on the role of chief legal officer Goo Ja Won from the National Army Headquarters, while Kim Ji Hyun as Lieutenant Colonel Seo Eun from the Ministry of National Defense Prosecutor's Office.

Adding to the list of "D.P" season 2 cast members are Shin Seung Ho as Hwang Jang Soo, Lee Jun Young as Jung Hyun Min, and Hong Kyung as Ryu Yi Kang.
With Netflix releasing the character posters, viewers and fans are looking forward for the exciting twists and turns as well as the drama and action in the forthcoming series.
The D.P. 2' Cast Reveals What to Expect in the New Sequel
In a report cited by a media outlet, cast members shared their thoughts about "D.P. 2."
Goo Kyo Hwan mentioned that his character will continue to portray the same vibe of a free-spirited individual but was prompted to change due to a situation.
"Ho Yul will gradually show a new appearance according to it," he said.
Meanwhile, Kim Sung Kyun shared that Park Bum Goo, who depicted an image of a military officer in a conflicted organization, said that the second season will show deeper parts of her character.
Lastly, Son Seok Koo's Captain Im Ji Seop's character will experience "a big change in Season 2."
Hinting at a new transformation, the awrad winning actor promised to show viewers the "face that they haven't seen before.
