‘7 Escape’ Cast: Uhm Ki Joon Becomes the New Symbol of Evil as He Transforms Into Merciless Villain
Uhm Ki Joon is back with another interesting character as he stars as the lead character in the upcoming K-drama "7 Escape."
Best known for his antagonist role as Joo Dan Tae in the hit makjang series "The Penthouse: War in Life," the 47-year-old actor will once again infuriate viewers with his villain character in the thriller-mystery K-drama.
As the premiere gets closer, SBS teases viewers with a sneak peek of Uhm Ki Joon's new role.

Taking on the lead role of Matthew Lee, he is the representative of Tika Taka, the largest mobile platform company in South Korea. Interestingly, Uhm Ki Joon has a new hairstyle for his new character, shocking fans with his platinum blonde hair.
Moreover, Matthew Lee's confident eyes exude extraordinary charisma and mystery behind his stares.
One of the highlights of his character is being the mastermind behind an unimaginable survival game. Its mission is to punish the seven wicked people behind the disappearance of a girl.

'7 Escape' Cast & Release Date
The upcoming K-drama is a mastermind of "The Penthouse" creators director Joo Dong Min and writer Kim Soon Ok, who also worked on "The Last Empress."
The revenge K-drama depicts the story of a girl who mysteriously disappears. Due to this, seven individuals involved in the incident get tangled up in a mind-boggling survival game.
"7 Escape" will showcase the struggles of seven wrongdoers. Moreover, the show will also illustrate the wicked desires of people who will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.
Apart from Uhm Ki Joon, the lead stars also include Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Joon, Lee Yoo Bi, Jo Yun Hee, and Jo Jae Yoon.
In addition, Uhm Ki Joon is also reunited with "The Penthouse," cast Shin Eun Kyung and Yoon Joong Hun.
The long wait is over for fans as "7 Escape" is scheduled to premiere on September 15, airing every Friday and Saturday via SBS.
Besides the still-cut and intriguing poster, the production team also gives hints on what to expect in the upcoming K-drama.
"Get ready to see how the wealth and success gained through deceit will be destroyed when faced with the consequences of their actions," a representative said, as obtained by a media outlet, adding, "This revenge drama will deliver a harsh yet satisfying storyline."
As for Uhm Ki Joon, "7 Escape" is his first project in 2023, after the huge success of "Little Women" and "The Penthouse" season 3.
