"Twinkling Watermelon" episode 8 begins with Ha Eun Gyeol suddenly waking up in the big year of 2023.
He reunites with his family to share a meal together. However, when he sees his mother, he realizes that it's Choi Se Kyung (Lee So Yeon) and not Yoon Chung Ah (Seo Young Hee).

On Eun Yoo (Seol In Ah) finds Ha Lee Chan (Choi Hyun Wook) on the road and immediately takes him to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Ha Eun Gyeol tries to talk to Yoon Chung Ah (Shin Eun Soo). He realizes that she is being abused by his stepmother and stepsister.

Because of this, Ha Eun Gyeol negotiates with Yoon Chung Ah's father, who's his grandfather in real life. He offers to be her sign language tutor.
He also starts to go to school with Yoon Chung Ah. When On Eun Yoo tries to talk to him, he ignores her completely.
Ha Eun Gyeol Bares His Heart Out
Out of spite, On Eun Yoo reveals Ha Eun Gyeol's whereabouts to Ha Lee Chan, and even wears her mother's uniform to enter the school.

However, Ha Eun Gyeol refuses and confesses that he can't join the band as he's also in love with On Eun Yoo, whom everyone knows as Choi Se Kyung, waging war against his own father.
