‘Twinkling Watermelon’ Episode 12: Will Seol In Ah Escape The Past?
While Ryeoun has kept his peers safe from the impending doom that awaits them, there are still some sticky situations that they have found unavoidable.

Ha Lee Chan Refuses To Believe Ha Eun Gyeol
The new episode picks up where the previous one left off with Ha Eun Gyeol (Ryeoun) saving Ha Lee Chan (Choi Hyun Wook) on time.
Thankfully, the cops also arrive, sending the bullies away. Despite the warnings, Ha Lee Chan deflects everything that the former said about him being his father, and he was from the future.
Ha Eun Gyeol pays him no mind, giving emphasis to his safety and the band's performance. On the other hand, On Eun Yoo (Seol In Ah) gets upset after being left alone on their date.
Yoon Chung Ah Gets Heartbroken
Ha Eun Gyeol apologizes to On Eun Yoo but all of his advances were ignored. Yoon Chung Ah (Shin Eun Soo) offers her comfort.
When the latter asks who she will choose between the two bandmates, On Eun Yoo reveals that she will choose Ha Lee Chan, leaving Yoon Chung Ah in confusion.

As the band gets ready for the performance, Ha Lee Chan meets up with Yoon Chung Ah. She hands him a gift which is a guitar pick where "Viva la Vida" is written.
The festival goes on smoothly. Everyone cheers for Watermelon Sugar, including Yoon Chung Ah and On Eun Yoo.
On Eun Yoo Realizes Truth About Her Family
In the middle of the performance, her friend brings up her father and Choi Se Kyung's (Lee So Yeon) husband. On Eun Yoo then realizes that his father was her mother's first love all along.
Ha Lee Chan gets upset when he doesn't see On Eun Yoo at the festival, assuming that she has rejected him. With this, he faxes Yoon Chung Ah as soon as he arrives home.

Sadly, the latter refuses to meet up with him. Yoon Chung Ah also tells him not to contact her ever again. Elsewhere, Ha Eun Gyeol still tries to appease On Eun Yoo.
Will On Eun Yoo Return To The Future?
At the end of the episode, On Eun Yoo rushes to the airport to leave the country, which is the same way she arrived from the future.
What surprises her is how she couldn't leave anymore. Ha Eun Gyeol arrives at the airport and comforts her, assuring the former that he will help her get back home in the future.
