Prime time is going to get better as Shin Hye Sun and Ji Chang Wook finally make their mch awaited "Welcome To Samdalri" debut this December.

Not only does the work offer a heartwarming romance, it also depicts the beauty of friendship, family and nostalgia that K-drama fans will surely love.

'Welcome To Samdalri' To Deliver Healing Romance

Before its premiere, "Welcome To Samdalri" held its press conference to introduce the narrative and its lovely cast to the public.

Shin Hye Sun and Ji Chang Wook, the headliners of the show, who are popularly known as romantic comedy queen and king were in attendance. With this, excitement is amplified.

"Welcome To Samdalri" depicts the romantic story between two ex-lovers who reunite in their humble hometown after losing everything including their past, hopes and dreams.

The two actors shared affection for their new characters. Ji Chang Wook described Jo Yong Pil as a "charming guy" while Shin Hye Sun chose the word "evolving" to represent Jo Sam Dal.

Through "Welcome To Samdalri," they aim to deliver resonance to the viewers through their relatable and humanly flawed characters who have lost and eventually found their true selves.

Meanwhile, Cha Young Hoon, the director, introduced his new work as a "warm blanket" in the winter. He wants the drama to feel like coming home to the countryside after stressing over work in the city.

"It's a story about life and people," the director stated. "I want viewers to feel comforted through the work that represents family, friendship and lovers."

Ji Chang Wook & Shin Hye Sun Share Affection For Each Other

According to the director, Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun are two actors that are extremely difficult to put together due to their extremely busy schedules.

However, putting the rom-com king and queen together is definitely worth it. During the press conference, Ji Chang Wook praised Shin Hye Sun's acting prowess.

"There's no question why she's among the top actresses in Hallyu," the actor said. "Her vivacious personality really brightened up the work."

Shin Hye Sun returned the compliments, saying, "No one can play Jo Yong Pil better than Ji Chang Wook. He's funny, soft and affectionate."

They heightened the tension by promising to sell his eyes at the Jeju Airport duty free shop once "Welcome To Samdalri" reaches a whopping 20% viewership score.
