Namgoong Min, Ahn Eun Jin's 'My Dearest' Named Best Drama of 2023
The grandiose night of celebration was attended by the brightest stars that dominated prime time in the past year.
2023 MBC Drama Awards named "My Dearest," headlined by Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin, as the Drama of the Year, much to the fans' delight.
The drama decorated 2023 with its excellence in telling a story, and an unforgettable watching experience that gave an impactful impression on the viewers.
Director Kim Song Yong thanked everyone who supported the drama, and promised to create more deep and meaningful works in the coming years.
He said, "I engraved my heart deeply while doing this work. It was a "will to live" that the characters portrayed while overcoming adversities."
The director also wished everyone a great 2024 ahead, encouraging everyone to watch "My Dearest" to find their own "will" for survival.
On the other hand, "My Dearest" took home seven major awards including the Daesang for Namgoong Min. The actor and his co-star Ahn Eun Jin were also named Best Couple of 2023.
Namgoong Min Bags 4th Daesang As Actor
Namgoong Min further cemented his name in the acting scene after his performance in "My Dearest."
Thankfully, his hard work paid off as he bagged the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the 2023 MBC Drama Awards.
It's his second MBC Drama Awards and fourth overall Grand Prize as an actor, proving his excellence and top-notch prowess in acting.
Namgoong Min expressed his gratitude to the viewers who enjoyed his work. He also thanked the director and the production unit of "My Dearest," and his co-star Ahn Eun Jin.
Ultimately, he shared his affection for his wife Jin Ah Reum who laid her support and trust on him. He said, "I've definitely achieved my dream."
"It feels sweeter to me because I went through hardships before I finally got to hold this trophy," Namgoong Min shared, baring his heart out.
