2013 was a great year for dramas but the dramas due to air in 2014 also look pretty exciting.  Here are a few kdramas on our radar for the coming year. Some are still casting roles but others have already started script readings or are filming. Most of them will feature stars that made 2013 shine a little brighter.

"We Have You Surrounded" is still casting but they do have an actor in mind for the leading role. Lee Seung Gi, who played the half-gumiho hero in "Gu Family Book," is considering playing a jaded gumshoe in the upcoming SBS drama. He usually plays sweet characters but this character, detective Eun Dae Gu, will be a tough guy known for his tendency to swear. The drama is due to follow "Three Days." Lee Jung Sun, who wrote "Ojakgyo Brothers," is the writer. Yoo In Sik, who produced "Incarnation of Money," will direct the drama.

"Three Days," which stars Park Yoochun, Park Ha Sun and So E Hyun, has already started script readings. The drama is about the disappearance of a president, following gunshots. Park Yoochun plays the bodyguard sent to find the president and bring him back to the Blue House. That drama is due to air in February.

"God's Gift-14 Days" will star Lee Bo Young, who won acclaim for her roles in "My Daughter Seo Young" and "I Hear Your Voice." In "God's Gift - 14 Days" she will play a mother who travels back in time to change the course of events that resulted in her child's death. That drama is set to air in February, following "One Warm Word."

"Inspiring Generation," the drama that takes place in 1930s Shanghai, will showcase the small screen return of singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong. Also starring Lim Soo Hyang, Kim Jae Wook and Jin Se Yeon, the story will focus on love, friendship and patriotism in tumultuous times. Kim Hyun Joong was due to star in "City Conquest" last year but the drama could not find a time slot. The drama replaces "Pretty Man."

"Cunning Single Lady" is the drama scheduled to follow "Miss Korea" but there's no word on what the storyline will be other than that it will involve a smart single woman. The only current news about this drama is that Lee Min Jung may star in it. She has not acted in a drama since she finished the series "All About My Romance" and married her boyfriend actor Lee Byung Hun. Joo Sang Wook is also up for a role in the drama.
